Georgia Tech Research Institute

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is the nonprofit, applied research organization of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

My role within the company:
As a software engineer intern at the Information and Communications Laboratory (ICL), I developed an interactive low-code playground that simulates over 25 cryptography and cipher algorithms. I mainly worked in Python to recreate existing ciphers and develop new hashing algorithms to protect data. I used my knowlegde of discrete mathematics to come up with novel ciphers based on geometric properties and exponential behavior of numbers. The deliverable at the end of my internship was an e-sports based cybersecurity game aimed at teaching cyber concepts to highschoolers in Georgia.

This semester I have also undertaken miscellaneous projects at GTRI, including developing a block-coding language for high schoolers pursuring robotics, and developing agent-based models to represent chemical equilibria.
